At Omkarananda Institute of Management and Technology, we believe that Training and Development is an integral part of a student’s life.
To ensure continuous learning and improvement in the professional and life skills of our students, we partner with expert leaders from the corporate training field and impart value based training through various in-house training and development activities.
Through such  holistic and inclusive training  programs, we emphasize not only on empowering our students on their communication skills in Global English but also ensure their overall personality development,  improve management  and analytical skills, critical thinking,  corporate etiquette, Interview handling skills along with we  give them a deep understanding of Global culture. 
This unique and innovative approach has given us a cutting edge in terms of providing win-win situations to our students not only to emerge winners during placements, attract best employers to our campus but also forming life- long winning habits of management and leadership.


Training Programs
1st Year – Special Soft Skill Trainings are arranged to enhance the cluster of personality traits, social graces, communication, language, interpersonal skills, etc. that characterize relationships with other people.
2nd Year – 40 Hours of Value Added Training, related to special software for enhancing technical skills of the students is arranged in the second year.
3rd Year – 80 hours of rigorous Aptitude Training for enhancing the aptitude (numerical, verbal, reasoning, analytical skills) of the students is arranged in the 3rd year of the course. Since this is considered as the initial level of screening in any placement process, special care is taken for the aptitude training.
Campus to Corporate – 40 hours of dedicated training through expert lectures from industry senior officials is arranged for developing team skills, leadership qualities, managerial skills and organizational behaviour, for the final year students. All the above trainings are being arranged by renowned experts with a view to ensure continual improvement. All the above trainings are a part of the curriculum and carry credits.
In addition to the above, mock Group Discussions and Personal Interviews are organized for continuous improvement. For this industrial experts are invited.


Industrial Training & Projects
MBA
MBA students are required to undergo two months summer training in the industry under the joint supervision of industry supervisors and OIMT faculty. This provides a system of education that formally integrates academic studies with related work experience.

MSc(CS)
The students of MSc(CS) do a System Development Project (SDP) of minimum duration of 6 months in their last semester of their course in January-June.

BCA/BSc(IT)
All students of various disciplines are required to undergo two months summer training in the industry under the joint supervision of industry supervisors and OIMT faculty. This provides a system of education that formally integrates academic studies with related work experience. The students also have an option to undergo six months industrial training/internship in the last semester of engineering. Some of the industry patrons supporting Projects and trainings are:
